That’s why we were proud to see our supervisors, Aiden, and Director, James, take a full day out to complete an intensive First Aid Training Course with the brilliant team at M P Plant Training in Stockton.

The course covered essential, life-saving skills, and both Aiden and James agreed it was incredibly beneficial. It wasn’t just about ticking a box; it was about getting hands-on experience and refreshing the vital knowledge needed to keep our sites and our people safe.

From Training Room to Site Improvement

One of the greatest benefits of the course was that it didn’t just end when the certificate was issued. True to our value of Finding Solutions Together, Aiden and James came away with practical, immediate suggestions for improving our on-site safety protocols.

These weren’t just theoretical ideas—they were implemented right away!

• Upgraded First Aid Points: We have now upgraded and clearly marked all of our site first aid points, ensuring they are stocked with the latest, most appropriate equipment as recommended during the training.
• Refreshed Communications: Clearer communication lines have been established for reporting incidents, making sure every single person on site knows exactly who to contact and where to find aid in an emergency.
• Enhanced Team Knowledge: We are now looking at rolling out simplified emergency response refreshers to all operatives, ensuring that while our supervisors hold the formal training (like the SMSTS and SSSTS held by our managers), everyone has a basic, quick-reference guide to follow.
